Travancore School aims to provide a safe and supportive environment which supports young people with mental health difficulties in education; provides pathways to build successful educational transitions; and develops mental health awareness across educational communities.

Regular school attendance plays a significant role in shaping both school-related and later life outcomes. Young people gain academic and social skills while attending school that are essential for successful participation in future education, employment and healthy relationships.

In partnership with the Royal Children’s Hospital Mental Health and Melbourne Graduate School of Education, Travancore School delivers the In2School intervention to support young people who are experiencing school refusal to positively re-engage in their schooling.

At Travancore School we believe all young people deserve access to high quality education and to receive support to participate in their schooling. Positive experiences in education and strong connections underpin regular engagement and participation in schooling.
